General Education Certificate for A.A.S. Degree Students

This 15-17 hour certificate will enable students to complete all courses required for the general education core for Associate of Applied Science degrees. After earning the certificate, a student can earn an A.A.S. degree by completing the remaining required hours in the intended major. Some A.A.S. degrees require specific General Education courses. Students should check the required courses in their specific majors.

Communications:

ENGL 1010 - English Composition I* 3 Credits

Humanities or Fine Arts: 3 Credits

Social/Behavioral Sciences: 3 Credits

Natural Sciences or Math: 3-4 Credits

Elective: 3-4 additional credits from Communications or an area listed above
