HCMT 2361 - Basic Medical Coding, Part I

HCMT 2361 Basic Medical Coding, Part 1 prepares student with the skills and knowledge required for accurate and timely medical coding according to the rubrics, conventions, and guidelines for medical coding. HCMT 2361 and HCMT 2363 must be taken consecutively in one semester (1st 7 weeks and 2nd 7 weeks) due to being Part I and Part II of basic medical coding. HCMT 2361 must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher. Prerequisite(s): HCMT 2400 with a grade of “C” or higher. Note: Student must earn a grade of “C” or higher in order to progress in program.
