Extended Campuses

In addition to the White Bridge Road campus in Nashville, Nashville State has educational sites located throughout Davidson County and the Middle Tennessee area. Each location offers courses and programs to help students meet their educational and/or career goals. All six extended campuses provide the same individualized attention, helpful student services, and quality education.

Humphreys County Campus

In 1999, the Humphreys County Center for Higher Education opened to serve Humphreys County and surrounding counties. This vibrant local-state-federal partnership has made the Humphreys County Center a model for off-site campus expansion statewide. Nashville State Community College is the lead institution of higher learning at the 33,000 square foot facility located at 695 Holly Lane in Waverly.

Students can take classes and complete degrees and certificates in areas that reflect the workforce demands and needs of the region. Areas of high demand include Health Sciences, Education and Teaching. In 2006, the Industrial Process Control Technology (IPCT) program was added to these offerings. Working with chemical processing plants in the Waverly/New Johnsonville area and surrounding areas as program partners, a curriculum for the IPCT program was developed. The IPCT degree has two concentrations: Process Technician and Maintenance Technician. The program also offers three technical certificate programs: Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic and Process Operator.  Students learn to work as members of teams that are responsible for the production process within an industry.

In fall 2012, the Southeast Center was relocated to 5248 Hickory Hollow Parkway and was renamed the Southeast “Campus” to more accurately reflect the expansion of the facility and its services.

The Southeast Campus is the second largest campus and is a beacon of academic success in the southeast region of Davidson County. Home to diverse programs, including the renowned Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts, the campus fosters a vibrant learning environment that empowers students to achieve their goals and contribute meaningfully to the community. Our campus features a Welcome Center and a Student Success Center designed to guide students through every step of their educational journey. We proudly offer ESL classes, TN Reconnect support, and access to a dedicated Student Resource Manager who connects students with essential resources such as a food pantry, transportation assistance, and more.

Currently, Southeast students can enroll in general education core classes, which lead to Nashville State degrees and certificates, as well as fulfill Tennessee Transfer Pathway requirements. Many students are preparing for careers in Business Administration, Accounting, Health Sciences, and Computer Science fields. The Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts, featuring a state-of-the-art kitchen, prepares students for careers as chefs and culinary professionals. The rapidly growing culinary and hospitality industry offers various careers in food and beverage, hotel and culinary arts. A balance of classroom, laboratory, and work experience opportunities prepare students for this challenging industry. The Southeast Campus now offers Exercise Science and Sports and Leisure Management degree pathways, supported by an Exercise Science facility. These programs prepare students for careers in health, fitness, and recreation, expanding opportunities for those passionate about wellness and active lifestyles.

Through community involvement and support, the Southeast Campus is making the fastest growing part of Davidson County an excellent place to learn, work, and live.
