SOCI 2010 - Marriage And Family* (Formerly SOCI 2112) 3 Credits 3 Class Hours
A study of the social, cultural, and personal factors relating to mate selection and family life. Assists students in understanding the values, marriages, and families of contemporary America. Topics include human intimacy, family relations through the life cycle, kinship, child rearing, sources of strain and violence, and sources of bonding in family life. Prerequisite(s): Completion of all Learning Support competencies for writing and reading. Note: SOCI 2010 meets the requirement for a Social Sciences elective.
