PSYC 1030 - General Psychology* (Formerly PYSC 1111 Intro to Psychology) (Honors Option Offered)
3 Credits 3 Class Hours
An introduction to the fundamentals of human behavior. Major topics include biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, motivation, learning and memory, maturation and development, personality, and social psychology. On completion of the course, the student should be able to utilize basic psychological principles to achieve a better understanding of self and others. Prerequisite(s): Completion of all Learning Support competencies for reading and writing. Note: PSYC 1030 meets the requirement for a Social Science elective.
