SURG 2199 - Special Topics on Surg Tech 1 Credit 1 Class Hour
A course to address the development of skills and knowledge, and the application of those skills within the field of Surgical Technology. This course focuses on familiarizing the Surgical Technology student with the National Certification Exam. Issues around professional certification in the workforce, test-taking skills and strategies, and self-reflection in preparation for the exam will be addressed.
A grade of “C” or above in all Surgical Technology curriculum courses must be earned prior to graduation. Prerequisite(s): Current enrollment in Surgical Technology Program and SURG 1102 , SURG 1304 , SURG 1305 , SURG 1410 , SURG 2299 , SURG 2310 , SURG 2399 , SURG 2420 , BIOL 1000 . Co-requisite(s): SURG 2103 , SURG 2201 , SURG 2302 , SURG 2321 , SURG 2330 .
