SURG 2299 - Special Topics on Surg Tech 2 Credits 2 Class Hours
A course to address the development of skills and knowledge, and the application of those skills within the field of Surgical Technology. This course will provide a student the opportunity to investigate and report on a topic of special interest that would benefit their employer or the community. Topics include sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, the operating room environment, and clinical practica.
A grade of “C” or above in all Surgical Technology curriculum courses must be earned prior to graduation. Prerequisite(s): Current enrollment in Surgical Technology Program Co-requisite(s): SURG 1102 , SURG 1304 , SURG 1305 , SURG 2310 , SURG 1410 , SURG 2399 , SURG 2420 , and BIOL 1000 .
