PHIL 1030 - Introduction to Philosophy*
(Honors Option Offered)

3 Class Hours
An introduction to the historical roots and basic problems of philosophy. Topics include metaphysics, epistemology, value theory (ethics, aesthetics, social/political philosophy), and major figures of Western philosophy. Prerequisite(s): Level 2 placement in English or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 1010 and ENGL 0815 ; Level 2 placement in Reading . Note: PHIL 1030 meets the general education requirement for Humanities.
