CULA 1240 - Dining Room Service 2 Credits 2 Class Hours
An exploration of table service principles and skills with an emphasis on customer service in a restaurant. Topics include guest relations, professional communications, order-taking in an à la carte environment, service sequence, point-of-sale systems, cash handling, beginning merchandising, table skills, and dining room preparation. Students study and engage in critical-thinking topics relevant to providing high-quality formal table service and customer service. A grade of “C” or above in all Culinary Arts courses must be earned prior to graduation. Prerequisite(s): None
