An analysis of popular literary genres. Specific topics are determined by the instructor and may include gothic, popular romances, mysteries, westerns, science-fiction and fantasy, children’s literature, and others. (Please check the class schedule for specific themes in Pop Literature and Culture because the focus of the course and the instructor change each semester.) Prerequisite(s): Level 2 placement in English; Level 2 placement in Reading.
