MATH 1710 - Precalculus I* 3 Credits 3 Class Hours
A traditional college algebra or first course in precalculus. Topics include functions/inverses and their graphs, inequalities, linear equations and functions, quadratic equations and functions, radical expressions and equations, polynomial functions, rational expressions and functions including complex and partial fractions, exponential and logarithmic functions, complex numbers, matrices, determinants, systems of equations, sequences and series, and applications. Prerequisite(s): ACT Math 19 and above or COMPASS equivalent, or MATH 1000 or DSPM 0850, or equivalent skills
