AMT 1195 - Automotive Electricity 4 Credits 3 Class Hours, 3 Lab Hours
An introductory course in the basic concepts in D.C. and A.C. automotive electricity. Topics include Ohm’s Law, series and parallel circuits, Kirchhoff’s Voltage and Current Laws, Thevenin’s equivalent circuits, A.C. power generation, semiconductor devices with emphasis on the junction diode, the bipolar transistor, and the field effect transistor. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1000 or DSPM 0850 or equivalent skills
