  • 1 MATH course from list of general education core classes not applied to 41 hours of general education core 3 Credits
  • 1 ASTR, BIOL, CHEM, GEOL, PSCI, or PHYS course from list of general education core classes not applied to 41 hours of general education core 4 Credits
  • 1 HIST course from list of general education core classes not applied to 41 hours of general education core 3 Credits
  • 1 ART, ENGL, MUS, PHIL, or THEA course from list of general education core classes not applied to 41 hours of general education core 3 Credits
  • 1 ECON, GEOG, POLS, PSYC, or SOCI course from list of general education core classes not applied to 41 hours of general education core 3 Credits
  • 1 PHIL course from list of general education core classes not applied to 41 hours of general education core 3 Credits

Courses should be selected by the student in consultation with advisors at the college or university that they wish to transfer to.

Additional course requirements: The Tennessee Board of Regents requires that students either demonstrate the appropriate skill levels in math, reading, and/or writing before enrolling in college-level courses or enroll in appropriate co-requisite experiences with college-level courses to develop competency in those skills while performing college-level work. ACT/SAT scores, classic ACCUPLACER test scores, next-generation ACCUPLACER test scores, or other relevant information determine whether a student needs to enroll in co-requisite courses in math, reading, and/or writing (English).
