(Two-year sequence in a single foreign language through the intermediate level or the equivalent; at this time, the only option at NSCC is Spanish. SPAN 1010 and SPAN 1020 are offered as on-ground or online NSCC classes every semester. Currently, students must complete SPAN 2010 and SPAN 2020 via TN eCampus or using the Reverse Transfer Process through TBR.)

ACT/SAT scores, ACCUPLACER test scores, COMPASS test scores, or other relevant information determine whether a student needs to enroll in co-requisite courses in math, reading, and/or writing (English).
