PLAW 2800 - Legal Issues in Medicine 3 Credits 3 Class Hours
An overview of the legal issues arising in the medical field. Topics include a brief history of the legal system, confidentiality, laws relating to drug administration, medical records as a legal document, patients’ authorization, informed consent, areas of potential liability for the healthcare professional, and applicability of both federal and state law. Prerequisite(s): PLAW 1000
