ENGL 2004 - American Identity in Lit

Analyzes the evolution of American identity from transcendentalist writings and Turner’s “Frontier Thesis” to the contemporary American individual. Topics include the uniqueness of the American individual and how the elements of society and geography forged this hybrid individual. Prerequisite(s): Completion of all Learning Support competencies for reading and writing.
