PHIL 2023 - Continental Philosophy (Honors Option Offered)
3 Credits 3 Class Hours
A survey of recent Continental philosophy beginning with late 19th-century European thinkers such as Kierkegaard and Nietzsche and developing through philosophical subfields such as existentialism, phenomenology, cultural theory, hermeneutics, feminism, and deconstruction. Topics include the meaning of human existence, subjectivity, embodiment, free will, ethics, religion, and language. Prerequisite(s): Completion of all Learning Support competencies for writing and reading.
