MTEC 1050 - Millwright I
5 Credits
4 Class Hours, 3 Lab Hours
Topics include millwright hand tools, fasteners and anchors, basic layout, gaskets and O-rings, Oxyfuel cutting, blueprint reading, specialty and power tools, rigging, baseplates and soleplates, lubrication and bearings, couplings, drilling and tapping, shims, packing, and mechanical seals. Prerequisite(s): Level 2 placement or higher in Math or concurrent enrollment in MATH 0825 .
Completion of MATH 1630 Highly Recommended.
