OTA 1220 - Challenges to Mental Health
3 Credits
2 Lecture Hours, 3 Lab Hours
A study of individuals who are limited in their ability to engage in life activities due to challenges to their mental health. Topics include major DSM IV diagnoses with emphasis on symptoms, behaviors, cultural influences, and medical and social supports related to those diagnoses, OT evaluations and treatment planning for the mental health population are practiced. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2010 , PSYC 1030 , OTA 1110 , OTA 1130 .
