SURG 2199 - Special Topics on Surg Tech

A course to address the development of skills and knowledge, and the application of those skills within the field of Surgical Technology. This course focuses on familiarizing the Surgical Technology student with the National Certification Exam. Issues around professional certification in the workforce, test-taking skills and strategies, and self-reflection in preparation for the exam will be addressed.

A grade of “C” or above in all Surgical Technology curriculum courses must be earned prior to graduation. Prerequisite(s): Current enrollment in Surgical Technology Program
